Emma is passionate about empowering children all around the world to “Always… believe in themselves, listen to their hearts and follow their dreams!” Created from an idea to empower and inspire her own children Emma founded we are amazing after developing a set of children’s affirmation cards called “You are amazing!” Whilst working on producing the cards from her home on the Gold Coast in Queensland Australia, Emma began running Fun-shops designed to help children build confidence and positive self esteem through magical meditation and creative art and play. Emma has taken her fun-shops into local schools and kindergartens and frequently speaks at seminars and expos on how amazing our children are! She encourages everyone to source inspirational tools to empower the children in their lives, helping them to build positive beliefs and values and inspiring from within a love of self, of others and the world around them. After emigrating from the UK in 2002 with her family Emma kept in close contact with her brother Ben, together they work on we are amazing projects; both her children Kate and Nat contribute to the creative side of we are amazing making the we are amazing website a truly exciting family project!
Kate, is Emma’s 12 year old daughter and creative genius! behind the rainbow painting on the box of the “You are amazing” affirmation cards, painted when she was just 4 years old! Check out Kate’s blog on the “we are amazing” website where tons of interesting and fun stuff can be found including, learning about each other, exploring our different cultures, finding things out about the places we live, and caring for our Planet. The blog is a really fun, as well as educational part of the site and its also interactive so everyone who reads it can contribute their own ideas and comments. All you need to do to get involved is click on the “Kates blog” link! Kate is a real comedian and has her whole family in stitches on a daily basis! She loves to act and is studying drama with a local theatre company.
Nat, is Kate’s 8 year old brother. He has his own “spot” on her blog called “Nat’s declassified!” Every week he will tell you a very interesting but useless fact! and a joke or two, something he hopes will keep you coming back to the site! Nat is very creative and his colourful and vibrant art work has been used to illustrate an affirmation on the You are amazing book mark “I love being me!” Nat loves playing soccer with his Dad in the park and for his team and he’s an avid Manchester United supporter, often getting up very early to watch them play on T.V!
Ben is Emma’s younger brother and runs the UK side of we are amazing. He is affectionately known as Uncle Buck by Kate and Nat!! After talking with Emma whilst on a trip to see the family in Australia two years ago he came up with the idea to put the children’s portraits Emma had been collecting for a gift book onto a website. It was from there that the we are amazing interactive website for children was created and the global family portrait gallery was born. Ben lives in Sussex, a county in the South East of England with his girlfriend Leanne, he loves to ride his mountain bike across the South Downs, play golf and be outside as much as possible. He is passionate about making a positive difference to the world we live in and believes that if we all do something nice for someone else at least once every day, we’re bound to make a difference to the way everyone feels about themselves and others!
